John Garry is an NYC-based travel journalist and teacher. He grew up in the Catskill Mountains, lived on the Upper West Side for a decade, and spent nearly as long tap dancing across North America and Europe before trading the stage for the page. Brooklyn Heights is his current home, where he writes about everything from art and history to food and nightlife.

Zora O’Neill has lived in New York City (forever and always in the great borough of Queens) since 1998. She has written guidebooks since 2002; for Lonely Planet, she has also covered Amsterdam, Spain, Morocco, Egypt and Greece.
